Romans 3:23 says, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." How does this make you feel? Does it kind of make you feel like you shouldn't try and you won't ever be able live up to God's standards? That is the original feeling that I get when reading this. This verse is one of my favorites because it reminds me that we ALL make mistakes. Another verse in Romans (6:23) says, "For the wages of sin is death..." Wait a minute. So we all have sinned and because of our sin we will die? That is scary stuff. This is what the nonchristian has to look forward to. The rest of the verse 23 says, "...but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Aha! Because we are Christians we will have eternal life. These two verses are some of my favorite verses because of the constant reminder that it gives me that I am not perfect and I will mess up sometimes, but I have Jesus that will forgive me of my sins and I will have eternal life because of my faith. |

Junior High Youth, Saturday November 8th, We will go rollerskating!! It starts at 7:30 pm, so make plans to meet me at the church before 7:15 or be at Buck's Skating rink at 7:30. If you are planning on going please have your parents call me or email ASAP. I need to know how many are going to be there. Please bring a friend, we need more youth to come and be apart of the youth group. Parents: If anyone is interested I will need one or two adults to help with the supervision of the youth. I know it is a couple of hours on a saturday evening, but it is well worth the time to spend with these kids. If you are interested please contact me. Phone or email.
